PAT calls for investigation into the statement of Federal Minister
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has called for an investigation into the revelations made by Federal Minister for Industry and Commerce Jam Kamal regarding fraudulent development projects. He said the revelation is clear evidence of the government's economic terrorism. The mafia looting the national treasury should be exposed.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said the Federal Minister has claimed that 20% of the development projects are approved by the mafia and these anonymous fraudulent projects are approved in remote areas. Twenty percent of the development budget amounts to billions of rupees.
“We demand that this revelation by the Federal Minister be investigated and the nation be informed about the individuals who are annually embezzling the hard-earned tax money of the nation under the guise of fraudulent projects,” he stated.
The PAT Secretary General said it is surprising that the Federal Minister did not discuss this revelation in the National Assembly. He said on one hand, street vendors, shopkeepers, laborers, clerks, and farmers are overwhelmed by electricity bills and have nothing left to eat after paying the oppressive bills, and the government is desperately seeking loans from the IMF while simultaneously, according to the Federal Minister, 20% fake and fraudulent projects are being approved, causing irreparable damage to the national treasury.
