Education & skill development on top of PAT’s manifesto: Qazi Zahid Hussain
Qazi Zahid Hussain, central PAT President, has said that about 22.5 million children were out of school by 2018 and the number has now increased to 22.8 million in 2023. He said that Pakistan continues to plunge into the quagmire of poverty, ignorance and underdevelopment with every passing day. He asked as to when those who have brought the nation to ruins will be held accountable?
Qazi Zahid Hussain made these remarks while addressing the PAT candidates for the provincial and national legislatures via video link. He asked them to create awareness among the masses about the need for change in the electoral system. He said that the people are the real power in a democracy, adding that the voters should use the power of their vote most judiciously.
Qazi Zahid Hussain said that all the political parties that ruled the country for the last four decades are responsible for increasing illiteracy and decreasing the educational opportunities in the country. He said that the promotion of education and skill development tops the manifesto of Pakistan Awami Tehreek. He said that the traditional political parties do not have the solution to the problems of law and order, deteriorating law and order situation and financial woes.
PAT President said that the PAT is an ideological party and its workers who come from the middle class and educated background, have the understanding of the issues and know how to resolve them for the betterment of the people. He said that the conditions of those who have alternated in power for the last forty years changed for the better but the country’s condition has been going from bad to worse with no end in sight. He said that the PAT does not believe in the politics of slander, hate and venom.
Qazi Zahid Hussain said that the PAT’s narrative is based on the solution of the problems of the people, adding that we would present ourselves before the people with this narrative.
