A delegation of Awami Tajir Ittehad visits Lahore Chamber of Commerce Led by its coordinator Altaf Hussain Randhawa, a delegation of Awami Tajir Ittehad visited the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and congratulated Kashif Anwar and Zafar Mahmood Chaudhry on being elected president and senior vice-president of the LCCI.
Speaking on the occasion, LCCI president Kashif Anwar underlined the role of the business community in the national economy. He said that the new team at the LCCI would play its role in making the tax system equitable and business-friendly. He said that the consultation with the business community is essential for the resolution of the problems facing the traders and business people. He said that Awami Tajir Ittehad is a very organized body, stating that we would benefit from its experience and discipline.
Altaf Hussain Randhawa said that Pakistan’s economy is passing through the toughest period in history. He said that it is important that the maximum facilitation is provided to them to kick-start growth. He hoped that the new LCCI body would take steps for the development and facilitation of the business community. He said that Lahore is a trading hub and this makes it necessary for the authorities to take steps for the development of the city. He said that urgent actions need to be taken to do away with encroachment and parking issues in the markets. He said that Awami Tajir Ittehad would extend its cooperation to the LCCI for the resolution of the problems facing the traders and business people.
Senior Awami Tajir Ittehad leaders Rashid Chaudhry and Naveed Butt invited Kashif Anwar and other office-bearers of the LCCI to visit the central secretariat of MQI, Minhaj University Lahore, Tehfeez-ul-Quran and Orphan Care Home. They appreciated the role of the LCCI in the growth of the business activities despite tough economic conditions.
LCCI president Kashif Anwar accepted the invitation and thanked the leaders of Awami Tajir Ittehad. The visiting delegation consisted of Rana Manzoor Ahmad, Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Ch Afzal Gujjar, Saeed Alam, Tariq Hafeez Sheikh, Shahzad Khan, Chaudhry Usman, Haji Khalid, and Hafiz Abdur Rehman.
