PAT, MQI workers directed to focus exclusively on flood relief operations
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek has set up relief camps in different parts of the country. He said that we would not leave our people facing the worst flood calamity alone at this hour of trial and tribulation. He said that all the local chapters of the party have been asked to suspend their routine organizational activities and focus entirely on the rescue and relief of the flood affectees. He said that the flood situation is a national challenge, one which requires us to make collective efforts. He asked the federal, and provincial governments and the political and religious parties to dedicate their energy and resources for the relief of the flood victims.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur appealed to the nation to donate for the rescue and relief of the flood affectees. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has special instructions to the MWF to immediately start relief operations in the country. He said that the people are in great agony and it is the responsibility of the whole nation to share their grief and help them.
PAT Secretary General said that the flash floods and torrential rains have wreaked havoc on the country. He said that at a time when one-thirds of Pakistan is under water, the politicians are busy trading allegations. He said that the time of lip-service has gone and the action is here. He said that we should also seek Allah’s forgiveness for our sins and pray to Him to let us tide over this crisis. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in peace and give speedy recovery to the injured.
