On the occasion of Pakistan Day, PAT took out a motorcycle rally in Karachi as part of its mass awareness campaign. The event was held under the "change the system" slogan. The rally was led by central PAT President Qazi Zahid Hussain and Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur. It started from Suhrab Goth all the way to the Mazar-i-Quaid. Qazi Zahid Hussain and Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also rode the motorbike during the entire course of the rally.
Addressing the participants of the rally, the PAT leaders said that the current system has been imposed on us for the last 40 years and the situation seems to be getting worse instead of improving. They said that corruption, poverty, ignorance, injustice, chaos, and instability have multiplied today than before. They said the earlier we get rid of the system, the better it would for our overall well-being.
Qazi Zahid Hussain said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri did an excellent post-mortem of the system during the 2014 sit-in and exposed its ugly face before the people of Pakistan. He said that everything that Dr Qadri said has been endorsed by the subsequent developments.
Rao Kamran, Mushtaq Siddiqui, Sahibzada Saqib Noshahi, Athar Javed Siddiqui, Rao Muhammad Tayyab, Ata-ur-Rahman Hashmi, Naveed Alam, Ilyas Mughal, Sajid Jabeen, Adnan Rauf Inqilabi, Bashir Khan Marwat, Syed Mazrak Hussain Shah, and Alam Badhsha Advocate also spoke on the occasion.
