Electoral reforms should also be implemented: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Imran Khan should use the remainder of his time in office to get rid of the current oppressive and exploitative system. He said that the promise of the electoral reforms should also be implemented, adding that the journey of change can be started by facilitating the families of the martyrs of Model Town tragedy to justice. He said that the Sharif brothers hatched the sinister conspiracy of getting the residence of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri attacked and fired at by the snipers with the intention to kill everyone inside the home. He said that over 100 people were shot at in broad daylight, out of which 14 workers got martyred including two women whose faces were riddled with bullets.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that not even a single accused of the Model town tragedy is in jail today. He said that this system is playing its legal tricks with the oppressed, and saving the powerful. He said that the media captured the footage of all those police officers who ordered the firing at innocent workers. Despite overwhelming evidence, not even a single mastermind and killer is in jail. Rather, the police officers are enjoying better postings today than before. Not only this, the central PAT and MQI leaders are also appearing in the fake cases registered against them on the orders of the Sharif brothers. He said the workers are justified in asking the prime minister as to why these fake and self-concocted cases are not being dropped and why the PAT is being wronged in the PTI government?
