Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri offered Eid prayer in Houston
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri offered his Eid prayer in Central Mosque Ghous-ul-Azam in Houston, USA. He is in the United States as part of his organizational and lecturing tour. He also inaugurated five Islamic centres established by MQI USA during his stay in America.
Talking to the workers and the members of the Pakistani community, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that end of concentration of wealth and fair distribution of resources is the basis of Islamic philosophy of economics. He said that in addition to being a supreme act of worship, sacrifice is also a major source of collecting state revenue, creating jobs, distributing resources and reducing poverty.
MQI Supreme Council Chairman Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri also offered Eid prayer along with Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, which were led by Sahibzada Hammad Mustafa, son of Dr Hassan and the grandson of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that guidelines have been provided in terms of economic and societal principles for establishment of a tolerant and inclusive society at the individual and collective levels. He said that there is a clear commandment of Allah regarding fulfilling the rights of the relatives, helping the poor and deserving and refraining from lavish spending. He said that no person gets this right by virtue of being affluent as to indulge in self-aggrandizement and pomp and show, adding that Islam, being a complete code of conduct, teaches us about moderation, and tolerance.
