The future of the PML-N is bleak: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that it has become sufficiently clear after the elections that the future of the PML-N is bleak. He said that jail of two weeks has exposed its most ‘privileged inmate’ to the reality. He said that the convict Nawaz Sharif is dreaming of an airliner landing at the airport but he would not get any NRO this time round. He said that the campaign of ‘why I was expelled?’ and ‘give respect to vote’ will change in ‘get me out of the jail’ after the polls. He said that behind the anti-judiciary and military drive is the money of the Sharif brothers. He said that if the state functionaries become patron of the convict, corruption will never end from the country. He said that NAB, police, Election Commission and the institutions of justice were in the same condition in which they were left by Nawaz government, stating that no change has come about. He said that the chant of revenge and humiliation is not justified.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks during his interaction with the workers in Austria as part of his three month tour of Europe. He said that the Sharif brothers are providing the funding for the campaign to defame judiciary and the military. He said that he had stated four years ago that Nawaz Sharif came into power with the agenda of making Pakistan army the prototype of Punjab police but notice of this fact was taken long after, further stating that the result of the delay is before everyone to see. He said that Nawaz Sharif kept his eyes shut on the locally and foreign funded terrorism during his stay in power, strengthened his family’s relationship with Indian PM Modi and compromised on encroachment of Pakistan’s share of water. He said that Pakistan was pushed into international isolation as there was no foreign minister as Nawaz Sharif held the portfolio with himself. He said that Pakistan was pushed down into debt trap, stating that this was done as part of a careful planning.
Dr Qadri said that they were creating these conditions so that no one could even imagine to get into government. He said that Nawaz Sharif, who is enemy of the national security, is going from pillar to post to get an NRO, stating that giving him any concession will be akin to compromising the national security. He said that President’s telephone call to the Prime Minister for provision of facilities to the convict is regrettable. He said that the President of Pakistan should have considered his position before making such a request. He said that we decided not to take part in elections because of lack of reforms and accountability. He said that the people with questionable character participated in the elections and no real scrutiny was undertaken. He said that our workers voted in line with the five-point guidelines, stating that they were strictly required not to vote for those who were directly or indirectly involved in the Model Town massacre.
