Rulers left power corridors after grey-listing Pakistan: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the net contribution of the former rulers is inclusion of Pakistan on the Financial Task Force and Action list as they relinquished power. Bogging the country into the debt is the second ‘feat’ of the PML-N government. He said that last five years of the political elite’s rule proved to be very dangerous for the national security.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while talking to the senior leaders of the party via telephone. He said that the rulers undermined the country throughout their five year tenure. They hatched a conspiracy to parade Pakistan in the global community as promoter of terrorism after Dawn leak scandal and allegation of sending terrorists into the neighbouring countries, strengthening the hands of those who want to grey-list Pakistan on the FATA. He said that those raising a slogan of giving respect to the vote leave no stone unturned to humiliate Pakistan with their actions.
The PAT Chairman said that the incompetent and corrupt rulers wanted to burden the people of Pakistan with more hike in the prices of POL products before leaving office. He said that it was the fifth time that an increase in the prices of the POL products was announced on the dictation of the foreign financial institutions. He said that the rulers do not know that even a small increase of one rupee in the prices has a massive effect across the entire value chain.
Dr Qadri said that the process of delimitation was sponsored which was carried out in the closed drawing rooms. He said that patwaris, nepotism and vested interests had their part in the whole delimitation exercise and it is for this reason that intense controversies are coming to the fore and being presented before the judiciary for adjudication. He said that objections on delimitation of over 125 NA seats have been made, stating that 50 per cent of delimitations are disputed. He asked how the conduct of fair and free elections is possible amid such controversies.
