Anti-terrorism court orders DIG Rana Abdul Jabbar to appear on May 18

At this, the lawyer representing the police officer gave an undertaking in the court that Rana Abdul Jabbar will appear before the court on May 18. Commenting on it, the ATC judge said that there would be no more concession after this and it should be presumed as last warning.
An eyewitness from PAT, Abdul Qayyum, submitted an application in the court in which he told the honorable judge that some men came to his house on behalf of SP Umar Virk and pressurized him not to give evidence. He said that he was harassed and needed the protection of the court against threats. The judge took a strict notice and stated that such an incident will not be tolerated at all.

Another witness deposed before the court that the PAT lawyers threw stones and piece of one bullet passed through his foot, injuring it in the process. Hearing it, those present in the court burst into laughter. The PAT lawyers pointed out the dichotomy in the statement.
Rai Bashir Advocate said that complainant Jawad Hamid, who already gave his detailed statement, is ready to be cross-examined by the prosecution lawyers. At this, the lawyers representing prosecution said that they would cross-examine him on the following day. The ATC judge repeatedly asked for the cross-examination but the accused’s lawyers did not start it.
