Those hurling threats at state institutions be held accountable: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
A meeting of PAT central Core Committee was held here on January 7 with Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in the chair. The meeting deliberated upon the detailed strategy for protest after the deadline of resignations expired. All possible options were brought under discussion on the occasion.
Addressing the Core Committee meeting, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we will place all options of protest before the Steering Committee and the leadership of the parties who were part of APC and it is the Steering Committee that will take the final decision in this regard. He said that we would go to any limit to get justice, adding that acquisition of justice is as important as our faith. He said that blood of the martyrs of Model Town is a debt on him as well as the whole party and getting the killers punished for their crime is their duty. He said that we exercised utmost patience, and gave enough of time, stating that if anyone thinks that our peacefulness, and patience is our weakness, his/her misunderstanding will be removed soon.
The Core Committee meeting was attended by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Fayyaz Warraich, Basharat Jaspal, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqi, Sajid Bhatti, Jawad Hamid, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, Ms. Farah Naz, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, and Chaudhry Irfan Yousaf.
Meanwhile, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri held a meeting with the family members of the martyrs and those incarcerated during the revolution march and appreciated their resolve and steadfastness. He said that no other party has such amazing workers. He said that our people were martyred and justice has not been provided to us despite passage of three and a half years, stating that despite this, we did not raise finger at the prestige and honour of judiciary. He said that contrarily the proven liars and looters have the audacity to say that they will not leave the judges of the apex judiciary. He said that we are of the view that they should step out to wage a movement against judiciary, the nation will not leave them.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that legal community, political parties, and civil society organizations should not be silent on the threats being hurled by disgraced former premier at the national institutions. He said that the Supreme Court is the highest judicial forum of the country. He said that it is not the offshore company of any known corrupt family that it does to it what it pleases. He asked as to why the prime minister who took an oath to protect the Constitution is silent on the threats of a disqualified person. He said that Parliament should take a strong notice of this. He said that the PAT workers are the true soldiers of Pakistan and Islam. He said that his great workers have stood by the oppressed in the face of the oppressors. He said that his workers are ready and await his signal for acquisition of justice.
