Asif Zardari to call on Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on December 29
PPP Chairman and former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari will call on PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri along with senior party leaders on December 29. The meeting will take place at 3 pm at the PAT central secretariat. Both leaders will discuss matters related to upcoming APC, justice for the Model Town martyrs and the future course of action.
Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that someone else is pulling the strings of Nawaz Sharif. He said that the ousted prime minister, who would spew venom in private gatherings, has now started taking on the state openly and is advocating the enemy’s narrative. He said that the independent judiciary is subservient to the Constitution of Pakistan, whereas Nawaz Sharif and his henchmen are obeying the orders of some other forces. He said that both brothers are on the same page and fooling the nation in actuality and the agenda of both is double down on their wealth by converting $10 billion into $20 billion.
Dr Qadri said that when the institutions grow weak, then the national interest gets compromised and those who raise voice against oppression and injustice are killed. He said that change in the wording of the oath regarding the finality of the Prophethood was approved by Nawaz Sharif. He said that the disgraced premier wanted to enlist the support of the foreign powers for his political interests. He confessed to his crime by withdrawing the change in law, adding that the question arises as to why the law was tinkered with in the first place.
Allama Imdadullah Qadri, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Allama Syed Ali Abid Mash'hadi, Allama Hafiz Tahir Zia, Allama Ghulam Asghar Siddiqui, Allama Syed Imdad Hussain Shah, Allama Muhammad Khalil Hanfi, Allama Muhammad Nawaz Kokab, Allama Muhammad Younis Saeedi, Allama Iftikhar Hussain Golarvi, Allama Owais Qadri, Allama Ghulam Sarwar Naqshbandi and local and district office bearers of the Ulama Council were present on the occasion.
The PAT Chairman said that his real strength are his workers and the people. He vowed to continue the struggle till the justice is served. He said that the identity of the killers has been established on every page of the Najfi Commission report that held the Punjab government responsible for the tragedy. He said that we are seeking justice for the affected families of Model Town, which we cannot get unless the powerful elite continues to hold the position of power and authority. He said that the religious scholars and Mashaykh can play important role for establishment of justice in the society.
Dr Qadri urged them to play their role in spreading awareness about the crimes of the rulers among the masses. He said that the religious scholars are the biggest intellectual guide, adding that life and honour of the people is not safe anymore. He said that the Islamic concept of rights in a state has been torn apart through massive violations. He said that the Ulama and Mashaykh will have to raise their voice against the predatory ruling elite for establishment of honest and just society.
