Nawaz Sharif’s anti-judiciary tirade an act of rebellion: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
Giving a deadline of December 31, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has asked Punjab Chief Minister, Rana Sanaullah and the officers responsible for Model Town tragedy to surrender themselves to law or be ready to face the consequences. Addressing both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, he said that they would have to give an answer for the killing of innocent people in Model Town, stating that he would not bear any more delay in the matter and protest movement this time round would be decisive. He said that he would announce next line of action after December 31 and win the fight against the killers. He said that Shahbaz Sharif would come to know soon whether he had prior information of Model Town tragedy or not.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that slander campaign against judiciary and hurling of taunt on it of murdering justice by ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is an act of rebellion against the constitution and the state. He said that this desperation is the result of failure to get decision of one’s choice that were available on dictation and telephone calls in the past. He said that the Sharif family is creating the environment of sedition in the country and asked as to why the institutions are silent on the venom that Nawaz Sharif is spewing.
The PAT Chairman expressed these views while talking to media on the occasion of presiding over a meeting of the representatives of traders’ community and civil society. Prior to the huddle with the traders, former Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan Mehdi Shah, JUP Noorani Group President Qari Zawaar Bahadur and Sahibzada Pir Ahmad Yar Saifi, President of Halq-e-Safeena Pakistan, Pir Masoom Naqvi of JUP Niazi Group and Ajmal Wazir of PML met Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri separately and assured him of their complete cooperation and support for justice in Model Town case. The leaders dubbed Model Town tragedy as an unpardonable crime against humanity and said that the civil society and religious and political parties will continue to extend their support to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to get justice for the martyrs.
Addressing the representative meeting of the civil society and traders, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that all political leaders across the party divide are united on the single point agenda of justice for the families of the martyrs. He said that Rana Sanaullah, Home Secretary and Dr Touqir Shah represented the Chief Minister in the meeting held on June 16, 2014 in which decision of bloodshed in the Model Town was taken. He asked how Shahbaz Sharif can distance himself from the grave decisions and their implementation. He asked if the Punjab Chief Minister gave police the orders to disengage, then the question arises if it was Rana Sanaullah who did not accept the orders or Home Secretary refused to implement them or IGP or DIG Rana Abdul Jabbar did not accept the order. He said that if it is presumed for a minute that the orders of the chief executive of the province were disobeyed, what disciplinary action was taken against the errant officers and the minister? Who of them was dismissed from service and put behind the bars?
Dr Qadri said that the fact is that these figures are being provided full protection on fully implementing the orders of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to kill innocent people and they are getting betters perks and privileges than before. He said that we are taking decisions after thorough deliberations and delay in these decisions means that we want to take decisive action this time round. He said that Nawaz Sharif murdered justice, education, and health of the poor people and is humiliating the judiciary by hurling baseless allegations against it. He said that the ousted prime minister is not opposed to the judgment but the very institution of judiciary.
