PTI extends full support to three demands of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
While addressing a press conference along with senior PTI leaders Jahangir Khan Tareen and Shah Mahmood Qureshi who called on him at this residence, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has presented three points for justice in the Model Town case. He demanded that (1) Punjab Chief Minister and Rana Sanaullah should immediately resign from their positions. (2) All officers directly or indirectly involved in the Model Town tragedy should leave their jobs till the final conclusion of the case and (3) a neutral and powerful JIT on the pattern of Panama JIT should be constituted to investigate the Model Town massacre. He said that Baqar Najafi Commission report have unmasked the faces of the killers. He said that both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif conceived the plan of massacre; Rana Sanaullah oversaw the implementation whereas the police and administration took part in the execution.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri thanked the high-powered PTI delegation for visiting to express its solidarity and said that the central leaderships of different parties are coming to us on the basis of humanity and different ways and means are being discussed to get the culprits punished in these meetings.
The PTI leaders conveyed the message of Chairman Imran Khan and extended their full support to three demands of PAT by describing them as legitimate. They assured that whatever action Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri takes to seek justice for the martyrs, PTI will fully support him.
Addressing the press conference, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that it has been proven beyond any shadow of doubt after the release of Najfi Commission report that Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah are directly involved in the massacre of innocent people. He said that they do not have any justification to stay on in power even for a second. He said that killing of 14 citizens is an extraordinary event that cannot be ignored at any cost.
Jahangir Khan Tareen said in the press conference that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is with Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on the issue of justice in the Model Town case. He said that the decision to support the protest at political, public and legal levels is that of the whole party. He demanded of Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah to immediately resign and surrender themselves to law. He said that if they do not resign, we will be standing by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on whatever decision he takes with regard to protest.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that if the decision to recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel was not reversed, an irreparable damage will be done to the peace process in the Middle East. He asked the US President to withdraw the decision. He said that western capitals including Pope have not accepted the decision.
The PTI delegation consisted of Mian Mahmood-ur-Rashid, Abdul Aleem Khan and Ijaz Chaudhry. Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Brig. (r ) Muhammad Mushtaq, Fayyaz Warriach, Noorullah Saddiqi, Sajid Bhatti, GM Malik, Jawad Hamid, Mian Rehan Maqbool, Raja Zahid, Mian Zahid Islam and others were present on the occasion from PAT’s side.
According to PAT Spokesperson, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Chaudhry brothers will meet Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Sunday today.
