Nov 21 to be remembered as black day in parliamentary history: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has termed the proceedings of Parliament on November 21 as yet another black chapter in the country’s parliamentary history. He said that the legislation enacted to qualify the disqualified person is both condemnable as well as a matter of immense shame. He said that legislators belonging to the treasury benches humiliated the nation by voting for the looter and corrupt former prime minister. He asked if the Quaid-e-Azam founded the parliamentary system of government to protect and safeguard the plunderers. Is the government’s mandate limited to attacking the basis of the people’s faith and protecting the looters?
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the current rotten and stinking system has been reduced to facilitating the looters, helping money laundering, abusing the state institutions. He said that honest, credible and trust worthy leadership created the state of Pakistan which has been held hostage by the corrupt ruling mafia. He asked what kind of democracy it is in which the laws regarding the finality of prophethood are amended in a day, innocent people are killed in broad daylight, people’s socio-economic rights are infringed and role of 210 million Pakistanis is that of a spectators. He said that the current rulers are protector of a corrupt family instead of people, constitution, democracy and moral values. He said that as long as dishonest and corrupt leadership continues to hold sway, morality as well as humanity will continue to be butchered.
