Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that election for NA-120 is very critical. He said that the people will have to decide whether they are with the killers of innocent people or humanity; the oppressors or the oppressed. He said that he is proud of his workers who rejected the lucrative offers of millions of rupees and stood their ground against all manner of threats and intimidation. He said that there will certainly be accountability of those who killed innocent people in Model Town and looted public money.
The PAT Chairman said that when the hope for justice ends, protest starts. He said that our case for release of Justice Najfi Commission report will be heard on September 19 and it is hoped that the oppressed and the poor will get justice. He said that blood is sold here every day but the PAT workers did not allow their conscience to be bought.
Dr Qadri said that Punjab Assembly has acted in violation of the Constitution by passing a resolution in favor of a disqualified person. He said there should be an impeachment on the resolution, stating how can a forum of lesser degree pass a resolution against the highest constitutional body of the state?

Speaking on the occasion, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that there is neither a ban on him to run political campaign nor does he hold any public office. He said that he does not have resources to distribute. He said that such kind of ban is not placed anywhere in the world. He said that Election Commission has served a contempt of court notice on him at the behest of a person who was expelled from PTI six years ago and who has publicly vowed to destroy the party. He said that he would adopt legal course of action against the Election Commission. He said that it is for the first time that someone as powerful as the former Prime Minister has been subjected to public scrutiny. In reply to a question, he said that if an adverse judgment came against him, he would never say as to why he was expelled.
The PTI Chairman was accompanied by Jahangir Khan Tareen, Abdul Aleem Khan and Shafqat Mahmood, whereas the PAT side included Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Brig. (r ) Iqbal, Basharat Jaspal, Fayyaz Warraich, GM Malik, Noorullah Siddiqui, Sajid Bhatti and Jawad Hamid.
Dr Qadri said that we are waging a struggle for justice and will continue to stay put till the last breath of our lives. He said that it was not on Iqama but on dishonesty that Nawaz Sharif was ousted from power. He said that on Sept 17, the people of NA-120 will have to think whom they are going to vote for.
In reply to a question, the PAT Chairman said that one takes to street when one is not left with any hope of justice. He said that the passage of resolution on the floor of Punjab Assembly against the SC judgment is impeachable act.
