Time to promote spirit of sacrifice at every level: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the people of Pakistan including the overseas Pakistanis on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. He said that Islam is a religion of the poor, the destitute, the oppressed and the helpless. He said that the need of promoting amity and brotherhood among the people could not be greater than it is today. May Allah Almighty protect Pakistan and its people, foil conspiracies of internal and external enemies of Pakistan and string the Muslim world in unity, he prayed!
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri offered his Friday prayers in Jamia Al-Minhaj and met with the delegations belonging to different walks of life. Speaking on the occasion, he said that we thank and congratulate the family members of more than 74 thousand martyrs who bravely faced the pain of loss of their loved ones in the war on terror but rejected terrorism with utmost persistence. He said that the whole of Pakistan is proud of these sacrifices of the martyrs and their family members, adding that these sacrifices would not go in vain and Pakistan will be rid of scourge of terrorism and extremism as a result of these sacrifices.
The PAT Chairman said that we are proud of Pakistan and it is responsibility of every one of us to make Pakistan prosperous with the power of unity, faith and discipline. He said that the day of Eid revives the memory of Sunna of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and the message of the day is sacrifice and selflessness. He said that we need to learn to sacrifice anything and everything for Islam, Pakistan and humanity in line with the spirit of the Eid-ul-Azha. He said that terrorism and extremism has brought an irreparable damage to the peaceful image of Islam. He asked every member of the Muslim ummah to raise his voice against scourge of terrorism and militancy according to one’s capacity.
