Model Town Commission report can be tampered: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his apprehension that the Sharif brothers, who are expert in tampering the documents and official record, can change the contents of Justice Najfi Commission report. He said that the release of the report in original form is inevitable for justice. He said that at long last the Prime Minister has confessed that he has been doing a job somewhere. He said that the Panama JIT report should be included in the subject of Criminology as a special case study. The TV comedy shows have got a new material for their programmes in the form of the money trail of the ruling family.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while talking to the leaders of Awami Lawyers Wing yesterday. He said that time has come that the perpetrators of the Model Town tragedy are given exemplary punishment so that no power drunk ruler can dare order the killing of innocent people in future. He said that it has been three years since we have been trying to get justice in the form of Qisas and are standing a guard over the FIR lodged against the Sharif brothers and their colleagues on the orders of the court and intervention of the former Army Chief. He said that it is due to our strict watch that the FIR has not been set aside.
The PAT Chairman said that the publication of the Model Town Commission Report is the first step towards the dispensation of justice to the families of the martyrs. He said that the Chairman of the SECP was caught red-handed tampering with the record at the behest of the Sharif brothers, adding that it is on the basis of this apprehension that we consider that the report of Justice Najfi can be tampered.
Talking about the Panama leaks case, Dr Qadri said that the Prime Minister ultimately accepted in a written statement that the Pakistan’s chief executive did a job in another country in addition to holding the office of the PM, adding that how honorable judges of the SC look at the confession statement is their constitutional and legal mandate. He said that the Panama case has exposed the so-called ruling family that has been the master of Pakistan’s political destiny for last 35 years. He said that as the case progressed, it provided more ammunition to the comedy shows resulting in increased ratings of these shows.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri recommended the inclusion of the Panama JIT report in the syllabus of Master in Criminology syllabus so that the succeeding generations could know how the ruling families loot and plunder the national resources.
