No society survives without respect for human life: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT chairman Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the terrorism and corruption are inextricably linked with each other. The corruption breeds terrorism and terrorism encourages corruption. The corruption mafia has amassed so much power that even the state institutions are reluctant to bring it under the law. He observed that the sympathizers of terrorists had rejected the NAP, the collective voice of nation altogether. He noted that our rulers had their assets in foreign countries therefore they endeavor to appease their foreign masters rather than the public. He added that the Nawaz-led government was more than ready to handover Kulbhushan Jadhav to India. He regretted that it was national tragedy that the perpetrators of Model Town massacre were roaming scot-free, while noting that the society which did not honour the integrity of human life destined to perish. He commented on Oil Tanker Incident, stating that it had categorically exposed the performance and indifference of government’s institutions. He added that the people were absolutely unaware about the discipline and organization.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Jamy Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran in Model Town. He embraced individually the participants of Eid gathering and inquired after their wellbeing. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, and other leaders joined him in offering prayers.
While talking with media persons, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the elimination of corruption was imperative for eradicating terrorism. The corruption had engulfed all walks of life and it was corruption that was plunging our country deeper and deeper into the quagmire of debts, loans and commissions. He added that the provision of basic necessities of life such as education, health and security of lives and properties was badly handicapped due to scourge of corruption. He noted that the reforms were insufficient for steering the country out of multiple crises, it needed the complete restructuring of national institutions. He lamented that it was dilemma that the culprits of Model Town carnage were roaming freely and the institutions responsible for dispensing justice were silent over this outrageous violation of law. He added that the blood stained bodies and faces of the victims of Model Town incident were always in his mind and he would neither forgive the perpetrators and nor forget them.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri urged the people to abandon their comforts if they wanted to get rid of corrupt and brutal system, otherwise the current mafia government would continue to assassin those who desired genuine change and betterment in this country one by one.
PAT chairman prayed for the departed souls of those who lost their lives in the exposition as well as early recovery of the injured. He noted that if such gruesome incident happened in democratic and civilized country, the local administration immediately would have cordoned off the area and stopped complete transportation of every kind until the clearance of road, but unfortunately our current rulers had nothing to do with governance and delivery except a few projects that sourced their luxury and kickbacks. The institutions had been destroyed, and the people found no way to address their grievances. He added that as long as current rulers would continue to remain in power corridors, the innocent lives would continue to be wasted for lack of good governance.
