PAT harbinger of peaceful change: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri
Addressing a special meeting of central Core Committee on the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day of party, PAT Chairman Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we would ensure the supremacy of law and justice by taking Qisas from the murderers of Model Town massacre. He remarked that the aristocracy helped perpetuation of corruption, terrorism, injustice, nepotism, and sectarianism across the country. He further added that the current rulers had badly damaged the international image of country, pushed her towards the regional and international isolation and made the atomic power Pakistan dependent on the debts and loans.
Dr Qadri urged the PAT workers and office bearers to organize the party at gross roots level across the country and complete the process of organization of party structure at ward level without any further delay. He announced that party would fully participate in next general election and instructed the workers to prepare for it.
The PAT Chairman further added that PAT is the only political force that aspires for change and people-led revolution, while noting that PAT can boast of such bright minds in its rank and file who not only could help solve the problems of crises of energy and loans but could also be instrumental in making the country prosperous and welfare state with the help of educated and patriotic youth. He remarked that the sacrifices of PAT workers and their awareness campaign were causing the downfall of rulers, corrupt and cruel elite was being exposed and it was trying desperately to save itself but all of efforts on the part of rulers would fail.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that he had laid the foundation of PAT on May 25, 1989 with an aim to help establish modern, Islamic, and democratic society and God be pleased, the revolutionary journey of 28 years helped generate the cadre of such patriotic, and educated youth that would never compromise with this brutal system in any case. He expressed his firm belief that these people would turn Pakistan into a country dreamt by Iqbal and aspired by Quaid-e-Azam and that day was not very far.
The PAT Chairman said that we embraced the martyrdoms in Model Town to eliminate this system of injustice, we arranged sit ins, we organized rallies and marches across the country, we exposed the rigging-riddled and rigging-prone electoral process, we raised our voice against the Muk Muka politics under the guise of charter of democracy, we played proactive role against the instutionalized corruption and made the people aware about their genuine national and local problems. He concluded that it was due to our struggle that the people were expressing their frustration and venting their deep-seated anger against the exploitative forces.
