Prime Minister himself responsible for Dawn news leak: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
Commenting on the story developing in the wake of the government’s order regarding the Dawn leaks and its subsequent rejection by the ISPR, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the criminal conduct of the Sharif government with regard to national security has come out in the open once again. He said that none other than the Prime Minister himself is behind the controversial news. He said had the Prime Minister been innocent in the matter, neither would the publication of the report have been delayed nor would reluctance have been shown to get the leakers fixed. He said that the PM knows full well that if someone was scapegoated, he would take the lid off the name of the mastermind.
The PAT Chairman said that Nawaz Sharif is a security risk and his business interests lie abroad. He said that those who will overlook the economic crimes of Nawaz Sharif will push the nation and the country down the hole. He said that the government has committed another crime by not fully and wholly implementing the recommendations of the Dawn leaks Inquiry Commission. He said that saving one’s own skin by offering the sacrifice of the goats is an old habit of the Sharifs, adding that time has now come that the mother of goats is brought to the dock to answer for serious questions.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that when the Prime Minister takes oath of office, he also gives his word under oath to keep national secrets and violation of the oath is disqualification and the PM deserves to be disqualified after the latest episode. He said had such a step with regard to national security been taken in any other country, those found to be responsible for such a breach would have been taken to task by now. He said, “How can a country whose security is not in safe hands progress?”
The PAT Chairman said that direction to take action against a government officer under Efficiency and Discipline rules is a joke with the nation, adding that this Act comes into play at the time of taking action against the government employees on account of indiscipline. He said that in the instant case, it is national security, not indiscipline that has been violated. He said that this breach took place in the PM House and the PM is responsible for it. He said that we will see what action is taken against those who are actually responsible for the leakage of the news.
