Dawn leak committee to give verdict as per desires of rulers: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his complete disapproval of constitution of a committee under an employee of the Punjab government to probe the Panama leaks. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect Pakistan and its 190 million people. He further expressed his best wishes for the Pakistan military, the only institution that remains unaffected by the machinations of the ruling elite to bend it to its will.
Dr Qadri expressed these views while talking to representatives of the senior media persons at the dinner reception he hosted in their honour in London yesterday. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Shahzad, Umar Naveed, Aftab Baig, Shahid Mursleen and Dawood Mash`hadi were also present on the occasion.
The PAT Chairman said that the name of the former justice was used to hoodwink the people, adding that the fact of the matter is that Justice Amir Raza is the Chairman of the Punjab Healthcare Commission who was appointed to this position by none other than the Punjab Chief Minister. He said that Justice (r ) Amir Raza is not only working with the Punjab government but his daughter is also the vice principal of the medical college owned by the Sharif family. He said that there is a close relationship between the families of the Sharifs and Amir Raza.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that there is no need to wait for one month for the committee to complete its proceedings. He said that it would give the verdict in accordance with the desire of its masters and patrons. He said that one month has gone by since the Cyril leak hit the headlines and the committee will take one more month to investigate the matter, adding that it is then on the sweet will of the PM whether to release the findings of the committee or not. He said that his opinion on the whole affair is “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un”.
He said that only God can protect a country where a government has the audacity of playing with the national security by taking the national security institution for granted and there is no one to hold the government accountable for its behavior.
