Country being pushed towards civil war: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the chief minister of one province has shut the doors of entry on the chief minister of another province, whereas the prime minister has already locked down the federal capital with containers. He said that the country is being pushed towards civil war, adding that it is merely a beginning and it is yet to be seen how things play themselves out in the coming days and weeks. He said that PTI and the masses will have to render my sacrifices to get rid of monarchy and dictatorship. He said that it is just the shelling done today, adding that the PAT workers faced live bullets on June 17, 2014 in Model Town and August 31, 2014.
Dr Qadri said that the Sharif brothers do not believe in democracy nor in democratic and legal values. They would never open the blocked roads and the doors of justice on the people. He said that the matter is very simple. If you have not committed robbery, present yourself for accountability. He said that Constitution, democracy and law remain in their right fold and all institutions are beholden to them including the police which are a personal servant.
The PAT Chairman stated this in an interview with a private TV channel yesterday. He said that Justice Baqir Najfi compiled a report on the Model Town incident which was not made public and the PAT has been in the court of law to get a copy of the report which has not been provided yet. He said that the report contains details of the violence and killings and it is for this reason it is not being allowed to be released. He said that 14 of our workers died and 90 of them faced bullets for elimination of corruption and oppression and our struggle continues unabated.
Dr Qadri said that we support every individual and party that is up against corruption and violation of human rights. He said that if the PTI workers remained steadfast, they would surely succeed. He said that PAT would continue to support PTI in its struggle.
In his talk with the leaders, he said that the Sharif brothers would go to any extent to protect their ill-gotten wealth. They can put the country’s integrity, and federation at the risk for their vested interests. He said that the government is currently faced with challenges of Qisas movement, accountability in the Panama leaks and the news leak and in desperation, they are using brute force to put down their protests. He said that Islamabad was cut off and turned into an island. He said that at a time when every mode of communication has been cut off, is it what democracy is all about? He said the way an elected Chief Minister was humiliated on the roads is a black chapter in the history of the country. He said that police has conducted raids on the homes of our workers and violating the sanctity of honour of a household. He said that women and children are being harassed. He said that the PAT workers would not be browbeaten into submission and would not leave their struggle for Qisas.
