Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri rules out any possibility of differences with Imran Khan
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has ruled out any possibility of difference of opinion or a clash with Imran Khan, saying that we are with the opposition for elimination of corruption. He said that our moral support continues to be with the PTI. He said that we had information that if the PAT attended the PTI public meeting even symbolically, the PML-N would get six/seven of people killed and shift the blame on the PAT, saying that the PAT workers have taken the revenge of the Model Town. He said that the ruling party wanted to create a new incident of bloodshed parallel to the Model Town tragedy. He made it clear that we would not let the Model Town tragedy be spoiled or compromised through any conspiracy of the rulers. He said that it is for these reasons that we did not attend the Model Town tragedy.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we have completed phase one of the Qisas movement, two more phases are left and we would announce them according to our own strategy at a time convenient to us. He said that our workers staged sit-ins and protest rallies in 175 cities in the month of August. They bore the expenditure and faced difficulties, adding that we do not want to tire our workers out. He said that we want to continue our purposeful struggle and there is a proper time for every struggle. He said that so far as making the symbolic participation in each other’s meetings in the first phase is concerned, the fact is that our delegations would invite them and their senior leaders including Jahangir Tareen, Ch. Sarwar and others would come to us with the invitation. He said that no one contacted PAT or extended any invitation with regard to September 30 public meeting at Raiwind and despite this, there is no annoyance or difference of opinion with the PTI.
The PAT Chairman said that the PTI is an independent political party and they are free to take any decision in the same way we are free to take any decision we deem fit. He said that we are with the whole opposition including PTI on the issue of exposing corruption of the rulers. He said emphatically that he is the first person to highlight corruption of the rulers and considers them the most corrupt among the world’s known corrupt. In reply to a question, he said that a joint strategy of PM Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi is underway. If there is Modi League in India, here is Nawaz League. He said that innovative plans are implemented to thwart the accountability movements. He said that our war of exposing the rulers will continue.
