PM’s dream of becoming Erdogan not to come true: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that PM Nawaz Sharif’s dream of becoming Tayyip Erodgan would never materialize. He said that the government is not interested in fully implementing the National Action Plan. He said that agreement of all political parties on the same communique represents welcome news. He said all opposition parties are protesting in their own way but they have the shared purpose.

Dr Qadri expressed these views while talking to various delegations that called on him at his residence yesterday. He said that the rulers sent a number of delegations to him for pardon. He said that these delegations met him here in the country as well as abroad. He said that he made it clear to all that Qisas would be done first of all followed by anything else. He said that propaganda machinery went into top gear against us and spread the misinformation of a deal, adding that time has proven such a character assassination campaign wrong now. He revealed that last effort to seek pardon was made during his recent visit to Birmingham. He said that he refused to meet the delegation. He said that even the interlocutors admitted that the Model Town carnage was done to stop him from coming to the country.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made it clear that those who got martyred in Model Town were his sons and daughters and there is no way he is going to pardon the killers. He said that we would not rest until we get Qisas and the time is not far away. He said that if the rulers have got nothing to do with the Model Town tragedy, then why are they sitting on the Model Town commission report and why the FIR was not allowed to be registered? He said that the FIR was not registered even after the court ruling came, adding that it was on the intervention of the Army Chief that the FIR was finally registered.

The PAT Chairman said that it has been two years but the justice has not been provided in the Model Town case. He said that the Sharif family has bought the whole system. He said that their cronies are everywhere, who protect their masters’ legitimate and illegitimate interests. He said that the movement to give a final push to the crumbling walls of the government is going to start from August 6. He said that the workers of political parties, masses and the civil society will have to come out to play their national role. He said that the movement will succeed only when people belonging to all walks of life come out for protection of their constitutional and legitimate political rights. He said that in case of failure, the coming generations will continue to be ensiled by the ruling dynasty.

Dr Qadri said that we decided to start the peaceful political movement in the month of August to rid the country of corruption and mafias. He said that consensus of all political forces on one-point agenda is a significant development. He said that political struggle starting from August 6 will prove to be result-oriented.

The members of the Central Core Committee called on the PAT Chairman and exchanged views with him regarding the protest movement starting from August 6.
