Justice be provided in Model Town case: General (r ) Pervez Musharraf
A PAT delegation led by Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur called on former President General (r) Pervez Musharraf at his residence in Karachi the other day. The PAT leaders enquired after the health of the former President and discussed prevailing political situation in the country.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur told General Pervez Musharraf that despite passage of more than one year, justice has not been provided in the Model town case. He said that an APC has been planned in the last week of March to deliberate on the Model Town tragedy to mull a response.
Speaking on the occasion, the former President said that Model Town tragedy involves violation of human rights. He said that it pains one to see that fair trial is not being conducted in this highly important case of national history. He said that Pakistan’s image suffered in the comity of nation as a result of Model Town case, adding that justice should immediately be dispensed in the case without any further delay. He said that harsh punishment should be handed down to the culprits of Model Town so that no one should be able to fire at innocent people in the future.
The leaders of both parties decided to launch a joint struggle against corruption and terrorism and other challenges.
