Senior PAT leaders i.e. Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Sajid Bhatti, Noorullah Siddiqui, Ayesha Mubashar, Jawad Hamid, Raja Nadeem and others were also present on the occasion.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that discriminatory treatment is one of the raging and sore problems afflicting Pakistan. He said that those who murdered 14 innocent people remain at large. He said that even different treatment is meted out to the male and female parliamentarians. He said that male members of Parliament are given development funds but the female parliamentarians remain deprived of it. He said that one section of society lives in paradise and the other in hell.
The PAT Secretary General said that first 40 Articles of the Constitution make it obligatory on the government to fulfill fundamental rights of the citizens without any discrimination and mete out equal treatment to them. He said that rulers, however, act upon those provisions of the Constitution, which help them strengthen their hold on power. He said that provision of standard health and educational facilities, and conferment of resources and power to the local government institutions is constitutional requirement but the rulers choose to turn a blind eye to it. He said that every walk of national life depends on their discretion and sweet will.
