Rangers should start operation from Lahore: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, has said that the Model Town tragedy is the worst example of state terrorism, which has shamed humanity. He said that the blood of innocent people will not go in vain, adding that we will go to any extent for justice. He said that the blood of the martyrs will bring an end to system of oppression and cruelty. He said that the Rangers should start its operation from Lahore instead of South Punjab where perpetrators of Model town tragedy remain at large.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed these views while talking to journalists at the Multan Airport during his visit to South Punjab. PAT President Fayyaz Warraich, Noorullah Saddiqi, Dr Zubair, Qazi Faizul Islam, and Arif Rizvi were also present on the occasion. He said that the anti-terrorism courts have testified Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s stance by declaring our workers as proclaimed offenders that we will not be able to get justice from these courts as long as the present rulers continue to stay. He however said that we would still continue waging legal struggle.
The Chairman of MQI Supreme Council said that no educated person, journalist, technocrat can come into assemblies in the present system of corruption. He said that the system has destined a particular group to hold top political positions. He said that our peaceful struggle will continue unabated against this system without caring for victory or defeat. He said that he would hold meetings with PAT, MQI workers and other local notables during his stay in Multan. He would also attend a peace conference in Kot Mitthan.
In reply to a question, Dr Hassan said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri goes abroad to attend conferences according to schedule. He said that our workers are waging struggle for change through democratic means, which will continue till achievement of the objective. He said that those who shed blood in Model Town thought that they would be able to terrorize the PAT leadership and workers, adding that they are in manifest error to think so. He said that instead of undermining the resolve of our workers, the tragedy has served to add to their courage. He said that his visit to South Punjab is to enlist the support of the people for peaceful struggle against corruption and status quo.
