People awaiting Rangers’ action against perpetrators of Model Town tragedy: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has reached Istanbul from Toronto yesterday. The members of the Pakistani community accorded him a very welcome at the airport. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Qadri said that he was going to Pakistan to address 32nd International Milad Conference. He said that on hearing about his arrival, the government breathed life into its fake FIR, adding that we would not be deterred by news of indictment. He said that the masses indicted the rulers on June 17 and the judicial commission established to probe Model Town tragedy put its seal of approval on the indictment.
Dr Qadri said that those who perpetrated Model town tragedy cannot escape justice for good, adding that time is not far when they will be held accountable. He said that the people await the Rangers’ operation against the killers of Model Town victims. He stated it categorically that we have neither forgotten Model Town tragedy nor we will forgive the blood of innocent people. He said that no party can offer a parallel of sacrifice and commitment with its mission which the family members of martyrs of Model Town tragedy demonstrated by rejecting the bait of millions of rupees. He said that we are proud of our martyrs and their family members.
The PAT chairman said that we will not rest till we get justice for the Model Town victims. He said that the blood spilled against oppressive and corrupt system will not go in vain and the millions of helpless Pakistan will be rid of their oppressors.
Dr Qadri reached Istanbul on December 19. After a brief stay, he left for Qaunia to present himself at the shrine of Maulana Rum. He would spend two days there. Afterwards, he would leave for Pakistan at 8 p.m. where on arrival at Lahore airport, he would be given red carpet welcome. According to PAT media cell, all arrangements for reception have been completed.
