Rulers to be responsible if any child comes in harm’s way: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that as schools open across the country on January 12, 2015, it is the government’s responsibility to protect life of every student and each school. He said that God forbid in case any child or school is harmed, the rulers will be responsible for it. In his message to the schoolchildren of Army Public School, Peshawar, he said: “Courageous and Ghazi children; the whole nation pays homage to your devotion, passion and determination. You are our future. You should step into your alma mater with the resolve that you would avenge martyrdom of your fellow students by eliminating terrorism from the country and making it hub of peace.”
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking to the central media cell of the party on phone. He said that instead of announcing political projects of billions of rupees, the government should focus its attention on securing life and property of the masses. He said that the nation is worried about security of life and property and the rulers are not refraining from playing politics in such tricky environment. He said that it is a matter of regret that the rulers do not have funds for construction of walls, payment of electricity and water bills and improvement of security detail in educational institutions but have plenty of money for flyovers, metro bus service and motorways.
The PAT chief congratulated the newly elected presidents of District Bars, Lahore Press Club, and PFUJ and other office bearers and said that journalists and lawyers are people’s judges and pleaders of democracy. He said that whether it is winter or summer season, whether there is a war or peace, both journalist and lawyers’ communities have been holding their respective elections on time to demonstrate their loyalty to democracy. He asked the political parties to learn democracy and democratic values from these communities.
