No real democracy without ending concentration of wealth, powers: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that it is impossible to establish real democracy without doing away with concentration of resources and power. He said that the present system serves the interests of 2 per cent minority elite while keeping the 98% of the majority deprived of basic necessities of life, adding that it was for this reason that its replacement had become inevitable. He said that time to free the Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan from the grip of the looters had come. He asked the people to make a resolve to take to the streets, further saying that his call was round the corner.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while addressing the office holders of PAT Punjab yesterday. Basharat Aziz Jaspal, Raja Zahid, Fayyaz Warraich, Mushtaq Nonari, Zulifqar Advocate, Mushtaq Ahmad, Chaudhry Wilayat Sahi, Raja Nadeem and others were also present at the occasion.
Dr Qadri said that the days of those who considered the national treasure as their personal wealth had been numbered, adding that we would not allow anyone to flee. He said that jail would be the destination of the looters. He said that green revolution would certainly come about before the conclusion of the current year. He asked the workers not to care about scorching hot summer and negative propaganda by the opponents for achievement of destination of revolution. He said that the rulers were fearful of the people’s uprising and surrender of their power consequently.
Dr Qadri asked the PAT workers to have a high morale as they were entering the final phase of revolution. He said that powers would be devolved to grass-roots after the revolution. He further stated that one million people would be included in the dispensation of state affairs and the ten-point agenda would be implemented forthwith without any loss of time. He assured the masses that people would start getting benefits of revolution right from the first month.
