Political & religious pundits stunned by acceptance of Dr Qadri’s message: PAT Punjab
Power sharing formula given by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is aimed at including people in the power structure and national decision-making processes. It has created a storm in the corridors of power and would end family dynasty in politics. Real democracy will be established through devolution of powers from the centre to the provinces to the union councils’ level. The creation of 35 provinces on administrative basis would bury the ethnic and linguistic divide forever and create unity and uniformity among all the federating units.
These views were expressed by Basharat Aziz Jaspal, President of PAT Punjab, while speaking to participants of a meeting of the provincial chapter of the party at the central secretariat the other day. Chaudhry Fayyaz Warraich, Raja Zahid, Mian Abdul Qadir, Haneef Sandhila and others were also present at the occasion.
Basharat Aziz Jaspal said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri interpreted and explained the Constitution of Pakistan in such a manner that the masses were truly aware of their constitutional rights now and it would be next to impossible for the political thugs to betray them anymore under various pretexts. He said that the people were getting beholden to Dr Qadri’s message of revolution and it explained why the ranks of the revolutionaries were swelling. He said that the world saw a glimpse of the people’s power on May 11 when the workers of PAT and people at large attended protest demonstrations in large numbers in over 60 cities throughout the country.
Speaking at the occasion, Chaudhry Fayyaz Warraich said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri had stunned Pakistan’s political and religious pundits by giving a power sharing formula in which mass participation of the people was a dominant theme. He said that when one million people would join the power structure from the union council to the central government instead of a few hundred families, real democracy would be established and seen at work at the same time.
Raja Zahid Mahmood said at the occasion that with the creation of 35 provinces, the sense of deprivation felt by the disadvantaged sections of society would be overcome and national thinking would replace ethnic and linguistic division in our polity.
Haneef Sandhila, while speaking at the occasion, said that the political programmes of almost all political and religious forces had failed. He said that it was time for the political and religious leaders who had been deceiving people in the name of democracy and Islamic rule to pack up because people had become aware of their constitutional rights due to mass education imparted by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
