PAT takes strong exception to Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman’s statement
Responding to the statement of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is working on the agenda of restoring rights of the people, establishing real democracy and stability of Pakistan. He said that every child of the country was aware of character of a ‘Maulive’ who had the audacity of branding Dr Qadri’s revolution as anti-Pakistan agenda. He asked as to what he, who had been enjoying a life of luxury as the Chairman of Kashmir Committee, had done for the cause of Kashmir. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was determined to uproot the corrupt, exploitative and elitist system and his political philosophy was becoming popular among the masses. He said that it was for this reason that the beneficiaries of the system who were busy feeding their upcoming generations on state resources felt threatened.
PAT Secretary General said that the political alliance Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman was trying to establish did not carry any importance before the overwhelming flood of people’s uprising. He said that those who gathered to save Raiwind during the historic sit-in at D-Chowk in Islamabad were wedded to anti-people agenda. He said that the character of those who abused the fair name of Islam to promote their politics had been exposed to the masses and their hue and cry did not matter much. He said that current corrupt system and its guardians were destined to drown in the flood of people’s uprising. He said that the day was not far when political interest groups would be swept away into dustbin of history. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri would succeed in the fight to get people’s usurped rights returned back to them and the sun of revolution would surely dawn before the end of current year.
