Tehrik-e-Suba Hazara to join May 11 protest
ABBOTTABAD: The members of the Tehrik-e-Suba Hazara will join the May 11 protest against the alleged rigging in the last general election on the call of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT).
It was decided at the meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the party headed by Sardar Haider Zaman, who had a telephonic conversation with PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday.
It was learnt that Tahirul Qadri had asked Haider Zaman to join the protest. When contacted, Haider Zaman confirmed that his party had decided to send its representatives to attend the sit-in.
He said he and Tahirul Qadri discussed different political issues, including the creation of a Hazara province. He said he thanked PAT head for speaking in favour of the establishment of Hazara province.
Haider Zaman said the parliamentary form of government had failed and it should be replaced with either an Islamic system or presidential form of government. He said hundreds of his party workers would join the protest being staged against the existing ‘corrupt system’.
