Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri to make an important announcement upon his return: Sadiq Qureshi
Sadiq Qureshi, Naib Amir of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that Pakistan is an ideological state but over the last 65 years, religious identity, values and traditions of the country have been on the decline. He said that things now had come to such a pass that the country was exposed to various challenges and plethora of crises at internal and external level.
Sadiq Qureshi expressed these views while addressing a seminar on the subject of “Let us save country, not politics’ held under the banner of Minhajian in Model Town in Lahore today. Rana Muhammad Idrees, Dr Abul Hassan, Jawad Hamid, Sajjad ul Aziz, Shahzad Rasool, Abbas Naqashbandi, Rana Nafees and others were present on the occasion.

He said that the people of Pakistan would extend historic welcome to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, which would continue to be remembered for long time to come. He said that last ten days of December would herald a new beginning in the history of Pakistan.
Sadiq Qureshi said that the defects in the electoral system had deprived the masses of benefits of democracy. He said that the ruling elite, which termed the electoral ritual as democracy, regarded the monopolization of the country’s economic resources and political decision-making as their birthright. He said that it was about time that the people proactively engaged in a peaceful struggle to shed the status quo imposed on them by a handful of powerful oligarchy.
Speaking on the occasion, Jawad Hamid said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has been struggling hard all his life to restore real and truly representative democracy in the country. He said that people would not be able to have a respite from the unending wave of crises unless the electoral system which perpetrated these was sent home through a peaceful and democratic struggle. He said that the 23rd of December will be a seminal point in starting a campaign for surgery of the cancer-stricken system.
Rana Muhammad Idrees also spoke on the occasion.
