PAT for establishment of national government

Pakistan Awami Tehreek has rejected the price hike as a result of imposition of Petroleum Development Tax on local production of LPG. Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, PAT President, dubbed the hike as anti-people move meant to increase the problems of the masses.

He said that the worst energy shortages had made life hell for the people and the practice of hiking the prices of essential commodities of life had virtually made it impossible for the people to make their both ends meet. He said that at a time when the people were bearing the brunt of skyrocketing inflation, and dearness, the ruling elite was busy in politicking with the sole aim of saving its government.

PAT President said that national government was the only solution to the complex problems facing the country. He said that the present electoral system was the mother of all evils and elections under this system would further fragment our polity.
