The Government will go before end of August: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announced to observe Martyrs’ Week from August 4 to August 9 throughout the country, adding that Martyrs’ Day would be observed on August 10 in Model Town. He said that everyone coming in to join the central ceremony of Martyrs’ Day should bring the Holy Quran, prayer mat and Tasbeeh with him/her. He gave his personal guarantee that the Martyrs’ Day would be peaceful. He, however, warned that if the Punjab government or police stopped the people coming for Martyrs’ Day, it would then be observed in palaces of Jati Umrah instead of Model Town. read more...

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri offered his Eid prayer in the central Minhaj-ul-Quran Mosque in Model Town, Lahore. He mingled with the people there after prayer and exchanged Eid greetings. He also met with the families of the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and the injured on this occasion and expressed his deepest sympathy with them. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri rejects imposition of Article 245 in Islamabad

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has rejected the government’s decision of handing Islamabad over to the army under Article 245 of the Constitution. He said that given the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in KPK, there was a need of invoking Article 245 there to protect people’s lives and properties. He said that dozens of people had been getting killed on daily basis in Karachi and target killing had been underway there for a very long time, adding that law and order situation in Karachi necessitated the imposition of Article 245. read more...
