In his keynote address to the hundreds of thousands of participants of the revolution march at Khayaban-e-Suharwardi on August 16, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri put forward his charter of demands and reforms. Before formally starting his speech, he made two important announcements. One, he said that an Additional District and Session Judge in Lahore ordered the registration of FIR against the 21 accused of Model Town incident including the Sharif brothers. Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said in his address to the ‘revolution march’ participants that the justice and revenge of martyrs of Model Town tragedy warrants ‘revolution’, Dunya News reported. Presenting his ‘charter of demands/revolution’, he demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to step down immediately. He demanded law enforcement to take them into custody and try them as per the law and charges. LAHORE: A sessions court has ordered that cases be registered against 22 people, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, over the June 17 Model Town clashes, Express News reported.
