Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr. Tahir ul Qadri said that feudal lords and industrialists have made life miserable for the poor and hapless people and vowed to serve the cause of deprived sections of society after coming into power.

Addressing a big gatherings during visit his to NA 127, from where he would contest elections, and inauguration of Awami Daray in Union Councils No.s 134 and 137 Dr. Tahir ul Qadri said that struggle for protection of rights of the poor was part of his religion and not politics and added that he would bring revolution in the country with the power of these downtrodden classes and would introduce a new system of governance in which the rights of the poor would be protected and they would be provided with all sort of facilities.

He said that in Pakistan Awami Tehreek rule homeless poors would be provided with homes, free medical facility and education to poor people and they would also be provided with commodities of daily use on half the market price. He further said that they would be provided with free electricity and they would be exempted from all sort of taxes.

Dr. Tahir ul Qadri demanded of the President Gen. Prevez Musharraf to introduce such a law that all the persons taking part in elections should declare their assets and if the assets of any elected person increased abnormally during his stay in the Parliament he should be awarded death penalty.

Dr. Tahir ul Qadri informed that his party had elaborate programme for revamping the justice system in the country and people would be provided with speedy justice at their doorsteps. To expedite dispensation of justice his party would shift Supreme Court of Pakistan to provinces while the High Courts would be established at district level while the District level courts would be shifted down to Tehsils and Union Council level. He further informed that a new Federal Court would be established in the Center.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek leaders Sh. Zahid Fiaz, Raja Zahid, Bashir Ahmad Bhatti and Dr. Tanvir Azam Sindhu also addressed the function. During these functions number of people belonging to various political parties had also joined Pakistan Awami Tehreek and expressed full confidence in the leadership of Dr. Tahir ul Qadri.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek Rawalpindi Women Wing Secretary General Miss Shamim Khan informed that about 25 thousand women workers of the party would participate in the workers convention of the party scheduled to be held at Liaquat Bagh. She was giving details about the women wing preparations for the workers convention of the party in historic Liaquat Bagh. PAT Women Wing leaders Sana Mumtaz and Perviaz Akhtar Channa were also present with her.

Miss Shamim Khan informed that they had formed several dozen committees at district, Tehsil and union council level in Rawalpindi Division to ensure maximum participation in the July 21 convention with which the party would formally kick-off its elections campaign.

She said that around 25000 women activists of the party from Rawalpindi Division were expected to participate in the convention and they would prove that Pakistan Awami Tehreek was equally popular in women. She further said that in forthcoming general elections a good number of women leaders would contest elections both on general and reserved seats for National Assembly, Senate and all the four provincial assemblies.

He was optimistic about the results and said that the way PAT activists both men and women won seats in local government elections they would also come out victorious in the national elections as well.

Miss Shamim Khan said that party chairman Dr. Tahir ul Qadri would announce the revolutionary party manifesto in the convention which would lay down the new course for the national politics where the role of corrupt and incompetent politicians in national politics would be buried once for all and a new ear of social and political service to the masses would start.

She further said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek after coming into power would end the era of loot and plunders of national wealth and would enforce a permanent system of accountability to root out these corrupt elements from every field of life.

She hailed the Supreme Court decision of upholding of graduation condition for the candidates of national and provincial assemblies and termed it a success of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek point of view. She demanded of Gen. Pervez Musharraf fulfil his other promises and go for speedy accountability of politicians before the elections so that these elements reentry into power corridors could
