A grand prayer ceremony was organized by Awami Tajir Ittehad (Public Traders Union) to mark the birth anniversary of Pakistan's founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The speakers paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s national, political, and democratic services, reaffirming their commitment to adopting his golden principles. The event was attended by officials of the Public Traders Union, representatives from the business community, and notable personalities from various fields.
On this occasion, the focus was placed on Quaid-e-Azam’s honesty, principled leadership, and commitment to the rule of law. Chairman of the Public Traders Union, Haji Mian Muhammad Ishaq, stated, “Quaid-e-Azam’s message remains a beacon for our national and economic progress today. He always placed the rule of law above all, and this is the foundation of a strong state. If the business community adopts Quaid-e-Azam’s golden principles, economic stability is possible in the country.” He further emphasized that honesty, discipline, and patriotism, as taught by Quaid-e-Azam, are essential for national development.
He also noted that Quaid-e-Azam united Muslims as one nation and gave them a sense of freedom. Secretary-General of the Public Traders Union, Muhammad Rashid Choudhry, highlighted that “Quaid-e-Azam always emphasized the protection of the rights of the weaker segments of society. If today’s traders adopt honesty and transparency, Pakistan’s economy can be strengthened.” He added that the Public Traders Union remains active in promoting Quaid-e-Azam’s ideals. “We must place the national interest above personal gains,” he stated.
Senior Vice President, Shehzad Khan, spoke on how Quaid-e-Azam’s life provides valuable lessons in sacrifice, determination, and discipline. “In today’s circumstances, following Quaid-e-Azam’s thoughts has become more important than ever,” he remarked. He encouraged traders to not only focus on profit but also keep social responsibility in mind. “Young traders should draw inspiration from Quaid-e-Azam’s simplicity and principled life,” he added.
The event was also attended by Jawad Hamid, Saqib Bhatti, Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Shehzad
Rasool, Allama Khaleel Hanfi, Saeed Akhtar, Abdul Hafeez Choudhry, and others. The
ceremony concluded with the cutting of a cake in celebration of Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday,
followed by a special prayer for the security, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.
The leaders of the Public Traders Union expressed their commitment to following
Quaid-e-Azam’s teachings by conducting honest business, fostering national unity,
and contributing to the country’s economic strength.
