PAT struggling for inclusive, egalitarian society: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

The sacrifices of the PAT workers both in man and material against the oppressive system are an unforgettable part of Pakistan’s political history. PAT is the only party that pitched the demand of reforms in the electoral system and led a long march for this purpose; highlighted the importance of Articles 62 & 63; and waged a relentless struggle for rule of law in the country. PAT is an ideological party that continues to struggle for establishment of real democracy and reforms in every walk of life.

These views were expressed by PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in a message on the foundation-day of the party here yesterday. He said that the system would not change through the change of faces nor will rights be delivered to the people without reforms. He said that the current system gave births to such corrupt people as Nawaz Sharif who have become a threat for the state. He said that the reality of the system against which we have been struggling for last 28 years has been known to the people today. So much so that the masks of those who benefited from this exploitative system and built up mountains of wealth have also been removed.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made it clear that unless the current rigged system does not change and unless the influence of money is brought to a nil, the real representatives of the people will not be able to reach the assemblies. He congratulate the PAT workers including the martyrs, injured and the prisoners of Long and Revolution Marches on the 29th foundation day of the party and stated that it is due to the sacrifices of these workers that the patrons of this oppressive system are becoming a thing of the past now and the public opinion against the system has been paved. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs and the injured of Model Town tragedy will not go in vain and their killers will meet their end soon.
