‘Punjab CM directly responsible for Model Town massacre’

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Raheeq Abbasi alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was directly responsible for Model Town tragedy, which left at least 14 workers of Minhajul Quran (MuQ) killed in June this year.

This he said while speaking to media persons after another round of talks with the government’s team.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that “We have evolved a consensus regarding inquiry of Model Town tragedy.” He said that talks between government and PAT would be held again on Friday.

Iqbal said that PAT’s experts would submit their draft on Friday. “Our consultations continue with experts on PAT’s agenda of socio-economic reforms,” he added.
