63rd birthday of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri celebrated around the world
The 63rd birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was celebrated with traditional fervor in five continents of the world including Pakistan. The MQI chapters organized the birthday ceremonies in over 100 countries including in Europe, UK, Gulf states, America, North America, Africa, and South Asia in which the workers cut the birthday cakes.
The workers started the day's proceedings with special prayers, supplications. They exchanged gifts and greetings on the birthday of their beloved leader through text messages, phone calls and emails. Islamic Cultural Centres of MQI were decorated like bride on this occasion and the workers thronged these centres to celebrate the day in a befitting manner.
Cakes of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri's birthday were also cut in different countries of Europe. The workers distributed food among the jail prisoners. They also lighted candles and arranged special lights at their homes to express festivity and joy.
63 goats were slaughtered at the central secretariat of MQI and pigeons were freed. The central birthday ceremony was held in the vast grounds of Minhaj University in Township, Lahore in which the central MQI and PAT leaders cut five cakes of 63 pound each. The workers danced to the tune of drums at the occasion. Anthems were presented highlighting the multiple services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in various fields.
Addressing the central birthday ceremony, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of PAT's Federal Council, said that the youth played a leading role in realizing the dreams of Dr Iqbal and the Quaid-e-Azam. He said that conspiracies hatched by the imperialist forces failed in front of steel-like determination of the youth and Pakistan came into being.
He said that it was about time that the youth clashed against the exploitative system within democratic, legal and constitutional limitations to save the state. He said that time to accomplish the objectives of Pakistan's creation under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was getting near, adding that if the youth made revolution their topmost priority and dedicated their full energies to achieve this objective, the sun of change would definitely set in during the ongoing year.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is the only leader with whom the rise of South Asia and the Islamic world is associated. He said that PAT would continue to work for restoration of rights, empowerment, and welfare of the suppressed and downtrodden sections of society under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Dr Qadri.
He said that the 19th of February was a day of revival of pledge for hundreds of thousands of workers that they would stay put till they achieved the destination of revolution under the guidance of their beloved leader. He said that millions of people of the Muslim community were benefiting from scholarly, intellectual, educational, spiritual, social and political services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that worldwide growth of MQI and PAT and effectiveness of its message of peace, love and interfaith dialogue was proof of the fact that MQI emerged as the biggest movement of the Islamic world in a period of 33 years and this phenomenal success owed itself to vision of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that hundreds of thousands of workers of MQI pledge today to dedicate their energies to render the dreams of their beloved Quaid into reality.
Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Dr Ali Muhammad, Col. (r ) Muhammad Ahmad, GM Malik, Javed Iqbal Qadri, Allama Sadiq Qureshi, Sajjad ul Aziz, Sardar Chaman, Dr Munhar Chand and other provincial leaders also attended the ceremony.
