PAT holds a flag-hoisting ceremony to mark Independence Day

A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the central secretariat of Pakistan Awami Tehreek on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day. Dua was made for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country on the occasion. Senior PAT leaders including Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Jawad Hamid, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Syed Musharraf Shah, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, Tayyab Zia, Ijaz Malik attended the ceremony. PAT Lahore announces new party membership & reorganization drive

In a hurriedly called meeting of the PAT Lahore, a decision was taken to start membership and reorganization campaigns in the country. The leaders of the Lahore chapter have been given the targets of reorganization of the party down to the union council level. As part of the membership campaign, the leaders have been given the task of the new membership of one hundred thousand till the conduct of the local government elections, whereas, in every Union council of Lahore, about 500 to 600 new workers will be added. read more...

Model Town tragedy: LHC accepts bail application of 93 workers

MQI leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty on the acceptance of the bail of 93 inmates of the PAT. He said he is very happy to learn that the Lahore High Court has accepted the bail of the innocent workers who were booked on false charges. Bisma Amjad, the daughter of Shaheed Tanzeela Amjad who was martyred in Model Town, has said former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar had called her into his office and asked her to focus on education and pledged to dispense justice. She said the commitment of any head of an institution is, in fact, the commitment of the entire institution but added in the same breath that the word given by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has not been implemented to date. read more...

Daughter of Model Town prisoner Abdul Latif laid to rest

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Bushra Bibi, the 14-year-old daughter of Abdul Latif who is serving a term in Bhakkar jail in the Model Town case, passed away after suffering from a lungs disease. He said that despite efforts, the incarcerated father did not get the permission to see the face of his dead daughter for the last time as she was laid to rest amid sobbing and tears last night. read more...

PAT asks the PM to give relief package to the traders

Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran khan in which it asked him to give a relief package for or the registered traders, shopkeepers and businessmen to help them avoid business losses as a result of ongoing lockdown.
